    Villa in financial trouble

...could they be the new Sunderland and one place guaranteed below us next season?

I don't know the details but if there is an embargo on their transfers then so be it. They will only be allowed to spend what the make on transfers so it won't make a bit of difference.

If they were in so much of a mess Bruce would have already left.

Whatever happens you can bet your bottom dollar that the EFL will move heaven and earth to ensure Villa come through it with minimum harm because they are a so-called big club.
Whereas if it was us or another small club............😕
Minus 12 points and get on with it.

Sounds worse than was first apparent , they need between £70m and £100m coming in to the club to operate with the current squad and staff next season .

The owners put in £6m a month to make up the short fall over the last two years and decided enough is enough .

Worrying times for Villa fans .

Another example of a club overstretching itself aiming for the Premier dream and then being totally unprepared for the consequences when it all goes belly up.
Perhaps if a big boy did go bust (it won't happen) the authorities would really clamp down on football's financial madness.

The b@ggers had better have paid for Hourihane and James Bree in full or we are caught up in the cross fire .

    A £2.4M owed to HMRC doesn't help.
Excuse for cash flow problems is it's close season and no income coming in, WOW. Like they're the only ones eh.
All will be fine when they've got rid of a few top earners, which they did by not offering John Terry another deal.
Classic case of paying too much in a gamble to get back to the promised land. ✌️

EDIT : They have sold 17K season tickets. 👍

Agreement has been reached with HMRC and they will no longer be issuing legal proceedings.
    Well there's a surprise.
