The U23 have been sh*t this season. Is anyone surprised about an overhaul or should the club keep paying for underperformers. Now that would be not taking the club forward.

But Rafa is commited to the Club he is honouring his contract that Ashley gave him

He has gotten rid of 18 players who under your own admission you know nothing about. So I guess we have to rely on Rafa and his coaching staff and say that they do not think any of them would have made the grade

Let’s just see what the scouts bring in as 18 players released really reflects on Carr’s ability to unearth decent talent.

Having looked at the released players it would appear a no brainer. Others he might want to release will cost compensation so they would be very little saving in wages. Also with a thin squad he still needs a certain number of players for a reasonable squad. I am cautiously optimistic as this sends a clear message about Rafa's intention. He wants solid good young players with potential and has signed/retained a number he considers fit the bill.

Next month will be interesting to see where we go and what loan players we will get in as well as permanent moves (hopefully).

Kin’ell a matter of weeks since last season ended, the World Cup hasn’t even started and the whinging has commenced. I’m pleased to see the back of Gamez and Haidara both sicknotes. The younguns aren’t up to it, haven’t been since Keegan got rid of them almost 25 years ago.

However A few on here may remember us having to rely on homegrown lads Howey, Elliott, Watson, Clark, Thompson, Roche, Appleby, Makel. They were superb at Joker Park in 92 and in other games but were having to be relied on in a relegation fight. So it was actually the messiah Keegan who feckd it up not Rafa.

do we really have the time to recruit 18 new players when the first team needs sorting

where or who is going to recruit these players

surely he needs to concentrate on the first team

i appreciate the tribunal has agreed beardo acted inappropriatly so probabaly replace him

he seems intent on ripping everything the club has built up over many years

carr the under23,s etc

yet it is clear the first team needs drastic work
