O'Connor turns down 2nd offer from Notts

    As above.
Apparently he turned down 2 offers from notts and Lincoln have offered him a better deal so seems he’s off there.
Source is ah at today’s footy tournament.

Big loss if he doesn’t sign, but we shouldn’t pay over the odds for any player. That’s got us into trouble in the past.

Let him go, we'll find better. Decent player but is he THAT good?

A third offer would probably pay for someone better.

We did alright without him earlier in the season. Show him the door and move on. He will probably get injured again and won't play many matches for whoever he signs for.

Agree with the last few posters.
It surprises me though. Has he actually played 90mins since Notts helped him back to save his career?

This is the problem - I don't think we will find anyone better. He's our club captain, a real leader, and decent footballer - our best midfielder by some way. It's not easy to find an upgrade on that. Besides, I doubt we'll try to replace him. We've got loads of midfielders as it is, so maybe Hardy and Nolan are hoping one of the youngsters will step up.

Sure, we did OK without him last season, but as we saw against Coventry, he could make a real difference to the way we play. Noble isn't anywhere near that level.

It's one of those things, really. I'd still like to keep him with us, but Alan Hardy is absolutely right not to get into a bidding war for him. We've made two offers, and if he's still looking elsewhere, whatever the reason, then it's obvious his heart isn't really in staying at Notts County.
