Much respect to you John for your tours of duty. One of the things that makes me mad is that the British Army was there to protect the catholic minority and yet the catholics were responsible for many atrocities against them and innocent civilians.

evening all,
its a difficult 1 at best, everyone has a personal perspective depending on how you was/were are involved,
i can only speak from a soldiers perspective having seen first hand what some para militia are capable of!
at the end of the day its a rats nest believe me....
hence the catchphrase 'take care now' because i know what it really means!

no mate, but i do have great respect for what he did/does!
i think he knows with whom i served and i am sure the respect is mutual.
