    Simon Murray?

According to the Dundee Evening Telegraph we have had a 50K bid for Simon Murray turned down by Hibs.

I can't say I'm overly concerned. He's always struck me as being very energetic but with no end product. Surprised we offered a fee to be honest.

Murray doesn't excite me hugely either but he scored 9 league goals in 30 starts this season...assuming Main delivers as number one striker, a near one-in-three record from your number two would be acceptable.

Bowman, who is widely accepted as 'doing a job' got 7 in 32 in the league (though I can't find the starts/subs quickly). In all competitions they each played 42 games, Murray got 17 to Bowman's 10.

So while I'd be amazed if we pay for him (certainly as much as 50k) I wouldn't write him off instantly...he's certainly no Alex Fisher.

Thought he was ok at Hibs and was a bit surprised when they let him go to Dundee. I watched him at Dundee with thought of he could do a job for us, but I think he's slipped a bit. Not fussed either way.
