Championship clubs quest to change FFP rules

It appears the big spenders have failed in their bid to rewrite the rules

Only 6 clubs backed the proposal to raise the £39m ceiling and so the attempt was squashed

"The Championship's high rollers are fearful of new penalties, including points deductions, which are set to be handed down for the first time under new tougher rules"

Wonder if the pigs were one of the clubs who attempted to change the rules?

I very much doubt any club will suffer a points deduction. They'll be saying they want a fair system next !!

Shame really. If clubs try to live so far beyond their means to buy players to win them more points, then redressing that with a points deduction would seem appropriate, even poetic. Hurt them more than some candy-ass fine the Chairman can pay off on his Visa card, and the effects are longer lasting. Gives teams who play by the rules a chance of justice.

We know it isn't an even playing field, but clubs openly flouting the rules and getting away with it, well, it just gets by goat...

You can bet your life they were.

Cheating is ingrained into that club and The brain dead f@ckwits that support them don't understand that if they don't offload players and fail to go up they will fall foul of the rules

I read it in a real paper BD - so no. It was a bit random really - as the rest of the sports news was to do with the World Cup and the billions about to be spent by Premiership clubs........so no idea why the Pigs problems were brought up.
