    O/T:- Song Lyrics Game

Simple game. Identify the song title and artist from the snippet of the lyrics.
When you've done that give us the next snippet of lyrics to identify.

An easy one to get us started.

"wrapped up like a deuce another runner"

F it come on I'm up for this. Blinded by the light Manfred Mann's Earth Band. Here we go:
So let's give them a cheer from the stands they can hear while they climb to the top once again

I love these types of OT threads. They’re something everyone can get involved in. No politics/race/religion/left wing/right wing or anything of that ilk. Just a bit of fun.

That one is one of my Dad's favourites. A Radio Red classic before they turned to the dark side. But you'd have to be fifty plus to remember it.

Have to say I don't know it, I have a feeling it's a Notts County song given what you've said about Radio Red. Do you want to put a time limit on this? Or be forever known as 'THREAD KiLLER'

    Here's an easy one:

I could take you home on the midnight train again
I could make an offer you can't refuse

    Happy days

Thinking about lyrics to songs always reminds me of being a young lad back in the 70's when I knew nothing about girls and got most of my knowledge from lyrics,it was ages and ages before I realised that Juice Newton wasn't singing "Just touch my teeth before you leave me" in Angel Of The Morning

I think misheard lyrics are referred to as a mondegreen. Perhaps an interesting thread in itself?

Sasha Baron Cohen has a jewish background, which probably explains how he got away with this.

This one's a little older, and hopefully more recognisable.
