Just a couple of days to go before the WC starts and I’m seeing car flags starting to appear. In my neck of the woods (Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario) the predominant flag is German, not surprising considering this area is made up of descendants of German immigrants. I’m seeing a few Portuguese flags here and there, mine is the only England flag I’ve seen so far.

I used to have a couple of flags flying in the past but cannot be @rsed now. I do not even follow England now. Not even got a clue who plays for England anymore...... The interest in the national team is now almost zero in my case.

My neighbour has got his his huge England flag flying in his garden, flying alongside it is his Claret and Blue check Burnley flag, that's just to irritate his neighbour on the other side, who's a Blackburn fan. I haven't seen any others yet.

I don,'t believe that for one minute ..it is the kind of statement people make when feigning disinterest .. whether you watch them or not you cannot seriously tell me you don't know who the high profile English players are ? Apart from the odd name like Kane and Vardy ..... I have not looked at the squad that has been chosen, so no, I do not know most of the players in the England squad......believe it or not, that's up to you
