They extended Euros and that were a bag o shyte last time rarnd. Terrible idea for me but no doubt they'll bill it as more equal opportunities for the lesser nations to compete but we all know its all abart money money money. More games, more advertising, more tv coverage, more gate receipts.

Sacrifice the quality then the tournament loses its appeal. The last Euros as I said were terrible. Teams in the finals who were out of their depth keeping 10 men behind ball simply not interested in attacking. Crap spectacle.

They extended it to 16 teams for Euro '96 and that was a perfect fit, why they needed to add more and more teams is just ridiculous.
