    Good old Momentum

While they continue to Hijack the Labour party/New Labour party/Socialist party/Marxist party/Communist party, they have no chance of governing this country

Frankly, both main parties are a waste of space. I look at one party and think, what's the alternative and then look at the other party and think, what's the alternative? Depressing really

I cling on to the hope that lily livered May will stop bottling Brexit but shes backed herself into a corner and now incapable of turning it around

I think I ought to add my word of 'thanks very much' to David Cameron. Whatever the rights and wrongs of in and out of the EU, we, the great unwashed of the nation, should never have been asked the question and permitted to get the answer wrong. To remind us all, this arrseburger of a process was kicked off simply to appease his right wing getting fussy about UKIP (and its amazing boggle eyed leader) and the danger of losing a few seats through Daily Mail readers not thinking his party was racist enough to vote for.

Personally, I have great concerns about a 'federal Europe' and think there are lots of advantages of not being in the EU, but if I had realised ALL the implications of exiting, then I might just not have bothered. Instead they gave us the referendum, both sides lied their heads off, because neither side actually had a clue about how this might actually work, and now its all home to roost. The problem now is muddle, with as many tunes as their are fiddlers. Instead of rolling up their sleeves and getting on with the best deal, they are trying to make 600 deals to get it through the Commons and the Lords, many of whom are working for personal interest and in bad faith.

Our nation is facing lots of challenges in the modern world. Housing, Manufacturing, Rail and transport, the NHS, all need massive overhauls, and we've got our leaders arguing the toss over what colour the Customs hut is going to be. Donald Trump wouldn't be feckin about with this. Dreadful racist, crazy b'stard though he is, sometimes you need a bigger crisis to get change, and that often needs a crazy b'stard to make it work.

That's one of the problems with the whole feminisation of education and government. It fails to allow the crazy b'stards to rise to the top, and instead promotes mediocrity, where your ability to rise is based not on whether you can do the job, but whether you rule yourself out by not conforming to their menu of acceptability. Can you imagine where we'd be if this government was the one in place in 1939? Churchill wouldn't get anywhere near power (for his unacceptable support of Empire, and various acts of mysogyny...), and we'd all be speaking German. (we might win a penalty shoot out or two though...)

Anyway, cheers Dave! Hope you and you charming missus are having a nice time sunning yourselves somewhere.

(I can go on for hours about this...)

    Good post that FKB

Personally, I can't wait to leave the rotten cesspit that is the EU. It's just not what it's meant to be.

We are heading for a federal Superstate, governed by a bunch of no marks in suits sat in their ivory tower. Detached and certainly not in touch with the common man in Europe. Yet remainers can see no wrong. The Visegrad 4 rebelling. Greece on it's @rse. Italy now in all sorts of bother. Then you've got other member nations such as Austria and Nederlands waiting in the wings to chuck the knife in and yet the elite see no wrong and push further forward with tighter integration. More of the same. Give us your money. It's a project you know!

I have always said from the day after the referendum that I have no doubt, when we leave, we'll have 5 perhaps 10 years of hardship, but long term, it will be the best decision this country has made. However, I meant this on the basis there is no fudge. Half out, half in is the worst of all deals

You know what? I actually believe that the youth of today who blame the older generation for Brexit will actually turn around and thank us for our wisdom in 10 years time.

    I know, call me stupid!

To be honest I think it's all been a sham, we will get to the 23rd hour and 59th minute and 59 seconds and it will be..
"Oh sorry we can't do this as we are just a bunch of knobheads trying to line our own pockets so we are staying in..."
perhaps I might be being a bit too cynical...

A lot is made of the younger voters being solidly 'Remain' and how the older ones are screwing up their future of working abroad and easy currency changes for their holidays. Nonsense!!! The thing about youth is they know feck all about owt. They are inexperienced and idealistic. What you need are decisions being made by crusty owd b'stards who've been through the mill a few times and have the scars to prove it. I've maintained for a minimum age of 55 for MP's*. Now I'm over 55 myself, I think I'm actually right.

Politics should be about a long term vision, a legacy, not making a career in your thirties then 'retiring' to some fat non-Exec jobs. I want MP's who've lived, raised their families to adulthood, made mistakes, have flaws, had to stand in the firing line and lived to tell the tale, and now want to make this country a better and more successful place. I don't want w-anchors who's experience of life is priviledged home to priviledged school to priviledged university to the House of Commons and never done a days work in all that time. There's no wonder we're up the creek, and no-one can even see the big picture, so long as theres a BMW on the drive of their nice 4 bed house, and a foreign holiday, and a nice priviledged school for George and Poppy to go to, feck averyone struggling to afford somewher to live and working their knackers off on minimum wages to do it, everythings fine

*The most radical government of the 20th century was Clement Atlees Labour Government of 1945. The average age of Cabinet Ministers on appointment was 55.
