    Birmingham City ground name change

Birmingham City are renaming their St Andrew's ground the 'St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium' as part of a sponsorship deal with the club's China-based owners.

    Why just why?

What a hideous corruption of a historic stadium name 😕
There have been some bad names over the years including the KitKat Stadium, the Wham Stadium and the One Call Stadium. Chesterfield's had a pretty naff name as well for a while, something to do with technology I think.
Some clubs have no shame when it comes to getting a bit of extra money in.

so is this another way of giving the club money to spend but keeping in the fair play rules?

if so you can't blame them at least it's the club owners who sponsored it.

So what about The AESSEAL New York Stadium? At least in Birminghams case St Andrews comes before the sponsors name.

To Rotherham fans it's simply the New York Stadium, and to Birmingham fans St Andrews will remain St Andrews.
