    This got him a reputation.
His ability to bully defenders got him targeted and his inexperience at that level in the premier league let him down.
His pace is absolutely fine for the player he is.
    He's a big unit, not a whippet.
He can battle it out with the strongest and even most pacey defenders over a short spurt.

His aerial ability and his clever off the ball working makes him a massive asset...especially now.
And let me tell you one more thing.
He won't get targeted any more than what he did in the championship and in fact he could become prolific if used correctly in the right set up.

As for Gayle. He's a totally different kettle of fish. A different kind of striker altogether.
I think you have been watching a different player to me. Not that great a jumper in the air, slow and not that clever a mover. He doesn't bully defenders - he got bullied and lost his head and got sent off. Seriously. Have another look. He isnt the athelete you think he is.

Yep we do seem to have been watching different players.

I've seen milk turn quicker than Mitro.

I personally think he is Championship level, no more, wouldn't bother me to see him go.

I think he could be a prem player but equally he doesn't fit out system.

No shame in that, best thing is for him to be sold and the funds used for a player that does fit how Rafa wants us to play.

In attempting to gain a bit of perspective on Mitro, it would be interesting to see how we felt about Gayle if he had been in the same situation, i.e. he'd professed his love for us, was a passionate, hot-headed chest beater who folk thought deserved a chance and who went on loan to the Chimpo and scored a hatful. We all know Gayle isn't good enough to be a starter in the Prem (personally I don't think he's even good enough as back-up) but he did score a stack in the Chimpo...didn't stop him being gash in the Prem.

I suppose the difference is his (Mitro's) international record but I think his goalscoring feats at Fulham have possibly clouded people's memories of him?

That seems like a reasonable explanation. For me, I just want to see him given a proper go as I think he can do more for us than what he has done so far. Having said that, if we sell him and get in a striker that Rafa wants and who has quality, I'll be a very happy boy. I'm not that bothered if Mitro leaves, I just think there's more to him than what he's shown with us.

Yeah he thumps his chest and kisses the badge but in reality he couldn’t trap a bag of cement

As I said earlier he is an end of game 20 mins sub
