For me Stones and Maguire shouldn’t be in the team at the same time, doesn’t seem to work from what I’ve seen

Well - Brazil really not that impressive - being held by a well organised but otherwise average Swiss side - long way from a WC winning side on this showing. Great individual skills but not the most coherent of sides I've seen

Germany lost, but I think looked better and would still expect them to progress into the latter stages of the WC

Only team thus far to shock us in the right manner is the ruskies. Admittedly it was only Saudi Arabia but sticking five past anyone at the WC is good going.

I also thought Croatia looked decent.

I really hope that England dont clam up tomorrow. Just go for it...

What do we think about this first group match then, does it show Panama as the underdogs (that they are), or does it show Belgium as being totally over rated again (as they are) ?.
Come on Engerland, this is definitely up for grabs, if we really want it!. The nerves are kicking in now seeing as we're up next!.

Gerrin - nice header from Stones and quick reflexes by Kane - good start but long way to go of course...

He's started poorly. 3 X he's been closed down inviting pressure. Then blamed lack of movement.
