Arrogant, horrible Hoddle retorted along the lines of, it could be worse, he could be playing with Burnley in Europe.

To be fair to Hoddle, he was only explaining his religious beliefs, millions of people around the world believe the same things, in fact millions believe in far stranger and dafter things than that. How many muslims for instance believe they can blow themselves and others to bits, and end up shagging virgins in paradise as a reward ?

Anyone, absolutely anyone, who has any religious beliefs at all, which must include most people on this planet, will hold views just as weird and wonderful as Hoddle's, goes with the territory.

Glenn doesn't do himself any favours does he with some of his naff comments. When he was talking about where to pick England players from in future, he made some really arrogant comments about the Champship and I haven't forgot that to be honest.
He was an ace player but he leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to being a pundit & co-commentator.
