We did. About 2 and a half hours-traffic was very light.

Sad to see the School of Art-there were folk at the Police cordons just standing and staring, looking gutted. The O2-which is where the gig was originally going to be-is fecked too. Think the damage to the Mackintosh building is too bad to repair by the sounds of it.

And you live in/close to Newcastle, right? 2 and a half hours is not bad at all. I'm thinking of doing a North England/Scotland trip with some friends later in the year.

What's going in Glasgow, is there some kind of a protest happening or? Sorry, haven't been following the news lately.

    Aye, I live in Newcastle.

No, no protest-there was a fire at the School of Art which is-or was- ans internationally acclaimed building by Mackintosh. Its a source of pride in Glasgow for a lot of folk and was ironically a few months away form being restored after a fire there 4 years ago. This fire was far worse and the building might be done for.

That's a real shame, I hope they can restore it or build a new one that will also become fond of. Never been to Glasgow, but really wanna go. Most Scotsmen I've met have been absolutely class.
