Has been invited to be 12th man for the England Lions game vs India (b), a first step on a very high ladder.

He celebrated today with 102 in his school match.

    Good lad!

How English One Day Cricket has changed. On commentary yesterday it was said all of England's top 8 had strike rates better than Kevin Pietersen.

This from a side that just 5 years ago had a ODI opening partnership of Cook and Trott.

It has gone on in leaps and bounds, in yesterday's 102 there not that many boundaries but it was made in only 109 balls....that's the way they are coached now....lord help the poor old bowlers when the groundsman produces a 'road' to bat on.

What's the format of school matches is it limited overs in anyway shape or form?

Mostly 50 overs but they sometimes play 20/20 games usually in tournaments. When he plays for the Academy they often play two and three day matches to prepare them for the county style of playing.
