    World Cup kitchen

Right ... here's a daft idea, but one which might get radges arsεs movin, and gettin some fine nutritious scran intae them.

Noo, Ah dinna pretend there's mony gourmet chefs on this board, but Ah ken there's a load o' auld buggers lik masel, fa hae at least lived lang enough tae ken how tae use a saucepan, a fryin pan, an oven, and a micro ... maybe even mair than one at the same time! ... so ....

As well as oor G.I.R.F.U.Y. thread, rippin the piss oot o' the losers, even tho we dinna gie a flyin' fυck fa wins, we should maybe hae a fun celebratin the traditional dishes/flavours o' successful nations ... might even change oor choice o' fa we want tae win .... tho, Ah doubt England will rate highly

..... Unfortunately, nae Scotland, and nae Italy .... so, if Ah'm tae play, Ah'm gan tae be oot ma comfort zone.

Ah suggest we dae nithin prior tae winners o' groups .... but, til then, fa's in?

Ah ye need tae dae is name the country, the dish .... hopefully a recipe, or link tae same, and a photie o' yer finished creation ..... and maybe yer biased review o' how fine it is

... Oh ... and afore ye smirk, a microwaved rowie clarted wi French/German mustard, Belgian Chocolate, Brasil nuts etc winna be banned, might even be funny, but will be a poor show and be viewed as a symptom o' oor once famous clubs lack o' ambition .... French toast might be similarly underwhemin

... come on guys .... we might be lookin at makin Borscht, Sweet tomato puddin, Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalad, Whale on toast, poodles with noodles .... frozen fish on ice ... live a little

(... Ah bet ye, ower at the Hat, they will be cryin us poofs if we dae this, but fυck them )

If I was home id be giving cooking stuff from the countries a bash

I was actually going to have a few folk roon for the final (only game im home for) and cook delights from both countries and drink beers from them too. Was hoping for a Germany v Mexico final. Great food and great beer

Then I realised I could tick off Sevcoves new een quick sharp with the friendly v us and it clashes with the final so I sacked it off

Believe it or not cooking is one of my favourite things. Cook from scratch 99% of the time im home.

Would definitely took part in this thread but instead im a salad a day, breakfast bars, foxs fruits and cups of tea for a month

Cooking time restricted by constant fitba on the telly, I'm going to recommend a cook in sauce.

Let me say first that I hate cook in sauces, over the years they have proved to be total p'ish.

    However

Available at Tesco's (unfortunately) The Kohinoor range is bloody good.

    In particular try the

    Mumbai
    Kolhapuri Masala

It's miles better than any carry out available in Aberdeen.

I make a damn good curry from scratch but it'll be this stuff from now on, and indeed tonight.

    MMmmmmm
