Has it been said what Rafa actually has to spend? If it’s £40m total then getting a RB, CM, winger and striker (and Dubravka) there is no way he will get quality in. It’ll be 4 Joselu’s.

I always thought it was £40 million plus sales. If it's just £40 million total then any big deals such as Kenedy or the striker we desperately need will eat up most of that in one sitting.

Because you can guarantee that £40 million will have to cover the wages for contract as well.

I wonder if Ashley is thinking give Rafa as little from the actual coffers (ie not incl sales money) this year (hopefully) stay up, and give him most of this years money (that is paid next summer) to keep him?
