Agree. He looks like he has flat feet when he runs....and that happens slowly.

Up against better opposition in these finals...PL standard players. Think he will be lucky to get a goal and that will probably be a penalty. Think Serbia otherwise has a pretty decent team.

If we are not going to spend money, he needs to stay and he needs to play!

And.... we are NOT going to spend big at all!

By ''liken him '' I meant his physique/physical presence - strong & busy.Obviously Sir Les was superior in every aspect but the whole point of my thread is that even to the doubters like me surely he deserves a chance..... if Rafa is prepared to play to his strengths.

His hold up play and lay offs were very good, but Tadic was fantastic if only we would sign him, he is to good for the saints

You must of been watching a different game I never once saw him receive a ball hold it up and lay it off. His positioning was very poor for crosses as he always got himself behind a defender instead of in front of him

You must get a better view with those rose tinted glasses. I don’t dislike the lad and hoped he would be a success but the more I watch him the more my opinion changes.

I didn’t see the game but did see the goal on the news. They also played the chance Mitro had in the first half...poor miss and that said everything about him I’m afraid. At the top level he ain’t it.

He's certainly someone who needs more than one chance to score a goal. Question is whether our team, after it's been strengthened during the summer (fingers crossed), will be creating enough chances for him to score more than Gayle, Joselu, etc.

You obviously missed the moment when he brought a high ball down and laid it off to make a chance

He wouldnt need many would he?

He has never had a run in the team, he would comfortably outscore hosses poo.

As for gayle, somehow getting promoted makes him worse than Perez?

I would love nothing more than Gayle, Mitro, Perez and Armstrong to allbe good enough, and us not be desperate for strikers.

Truth is, we do not have a single premier league 15 goal man in our ranks.
