Can't ever remember Premier League and Football League fixtures being released on separate days, never mind different weeks.
Last season we had an extremely difficult start on paper, playing all of the clubs that got relegated from L1 in the opening 7 games. Turned out that we beat 3 of them, Port Vale struggled and Chesterfield went down. So perhaps we'd like the same again? Maybe not MK Dons though.
We've not had a home game to start the league campaign since Huddersfield in 2010, that can't be a coincidence surely. seven seasons in a row!
uNot too bothered where we start and finish but we are overdue a home fixture on Boxing Day
We’re overdue a home game on the opening day and Boxing Day, both days on the calendar for bigger crowds. No idea if it makes a difference, but I hope the club have quietly reminded the EFL of this.
What's the odds on being away on opening day yet again and boxing day.
They're out. And we're at home for both the first game and boxing day. Result!!

Does Leigh Curtis know something we don't (I know it's a silly question)?
Kevin Nolan’s side will face the Us at Meadow Lane on August 5 and will hope for the ideal start as they look to mount a promotion challenge next term.
Or is this just another example of lazy journalism?
