I was happy to lose my initial £10 stake for my 80/1 bet as the mass hysteria was simply getting too much for me and my money would have been long gone but they would still be reminding me on my death bed that they had won it.FACT.
GB - my Dad passed away 10 days ago and bless his cotton socks I reckon he went as the prospect of THEM lifting it again was too much for one lifetime. He always went on about how apparently in 66 a lot of Scots wanted to see England win because it was, well, Germany, i.e. the War and all that, so when they won quite a lot were happy. It was only when they subsequently started going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on.........................

I see they've come up with a new stronger version of Viagra in England.

It's guaranteed to get you past a semi

Hey JamesMcLean really sorry to hear about your old man. My thoughts are with you mate.

And as for England. I honestly thought they were destined to do it. All the fancied teams just seemed to be tumbling out of the competition plus England seemed to be having an easy ride into the semis.
This happens in cup competitions when teams carry unusually good luck to see them through. This is something we Arabs are not used to. Anyway thankfully Croatia turned up and made sure we as a country are no longer subjected to the media pish and the god awful coming home song.
I can now enjoy a cup final without the nightmare of an English win.

Cheers pal and like you I can relax and actually enjoy the Final. I now have every sympathy for the Funsters as for the last few weeks I have come to realise what the anxiety levels must have been like watching their bitterest (and that is an accurate word) rivals head toward another trophy win.
