This has already been covered on another thread but if you choose the player with most Captaincy experience & guts then it has to be Noble

He shouldn't be in the team never mind being captain, he had one good game against Stags. His passing and dead balls are poor and he runs around a lot waving his arms but does nothing imo.

I’m not sure that the captaincy is particularly important in football, but what you do need is several different players who are capable of shouting advice and encouragement at their teammates. If you have this, it would be possible to appoint a captain who doesn’t necessarily play all the time, who would act as a link, when needed, between the dressing room and the management, and would also be the club’s ambassador at external functions.

Jon Stead is our longest serving player and is a model pro so I'd hazard a guess he would be a strong contender for club captain.
