Almost every season plenty of our supporters whinge about our manager, squad, tactics...... after the first couple of game

Surely we could leave it till we get to 8-10 games when by then we have a realistic idea if such things are working.

    Yubbs,

@ our current rate of progression, leave it 8/10 games it will take the Hubble Telescope to determine the whereabouts of the top teams in this division

Answer me this…. If Bruce has gained 4 promotions from the Championship….Why/T/F does he forever gravitate back to this level

In an ideal world Yubs, our total of 1.5pts a game wouldn’t be too bad, i.e. remit of mid table stability. Unfortunately, we desperately need to go up, for both our Club’s and fans expectancy of top flight football and financially.
The 6 games played, against weaker opposition, is ¾ of your 8 game strategy.

1.5 pts per game, over a season which includes tougher opposition is 69pts.
23pts short of what the manager has said is required for promotion.
7pts short of 6th place Boro last season.
11pts short of Fulham’s 6th place finish the season before.

In defence of the dissenters, they/we have every right for concern. If you get a chance mate, take a look at our 6 fixtures for December and 10 fixtures for Feb/March. We’d be doing well to get SB’s 2pts a game out of that lot buddy. Bearing in mind our points per quality of opposition thus far.

Telegraph is reporting James Collins has left Ipswich and is now training with the Villa.

Also that he does appear to be carrying an injury. 🤔

So the telegraph are reporting g that Smith will have some funds to spend in January but he will have to move on fringe players in order to comply with the stupid fair play rules.

It makes you wonder why they don't ask John Terry very nicely to put the shirt on. As a player coach he would only legitimately be receiving money for his coaching role in the eyes of fifa whether or not he gets some bonuses. We don't really need anyone other than a decent CB and let's face it, our best one from last year is now our 2nd in command!!

Come on villa, if this doesn't make sense then I bongos mum

Spot on Sam. It's a no brainer! He's been training all summer in case he gets a good offer and says he's fitter that he's been in the last 10 years. I'm guessing he may feel he can't give management 100% if he's still playing but I'm sure delaying this until January won't harm anyone considering he's only a no2. That sounds like he's a poo.
