6 games in August only 2 at home albeit includes Blackpool in the EFL Cup - Good start away from home required and maximum points at home should give us a good indication of where we want to be in the league

I don't get this ooh arr over fixtures. It's irrelevant who you play or when. If you're good enough you finish in the top two and are promoted automatically. If your not as good you end up in the top six and contest the play-offs. If yo're mediocre you finish midtable and if you're sh1te you finish in the bottom four and are subsequently relegated.

You'll play em' all soon enough

It's not as simple as that imo. For instance, if you play a promoted team early in the season it's always a difficult game because they have momentum and confidence from the previous season. Theyre ones to avoid until things settle a bit. Thaz more chance o beating em in November than August.

There's also the squad situation, look at us a couple year back. We went to wolves mid September and battered em 4 nowt with a full strength side. The return game at home in early Feb saw us lose 3-1 after having lost our best players in the jan window.

There's twists and turns all the way but the little things can help. Oxford at ooam is a good fixture imo. They were mid to lower table last season and were that desperate they took Mowatt on loan Bradford were off the play off pace and had a poor season. Wimbledon were near bottom as were Rochdale. Good chance to hit the ground running.

Some might say last season means nowt but it's all we've got to go on. Rather laik them 4 in our opening fixtures than Luton, Coventry, Accrington or Wycombe

I don't normally agree that there are harder and easier fixtures, because we do of course play every other team twice anyway over the course of the season. But like you say Pass it depends on if we meet some of the newly promoted or relegated teams early doors, when their confidence is going to be up, but some others might think that about being drawn against us as well.
