You would probably be alright getting a pub in glasgow with game on as long as your not in deepest dearth of govan/gorbals. Is the away section at your place behind the goals or side view?

We're staying in Dumbarton tomorrow night, so we'll have to set off early in time to get up there and watch the England game in our hotel room. Mrs S suggested setting off later and finding somewhere for lunch, where we could watch the game on TV. She was thinking we could find a pub/hotel around Glasgow, order Sunday Lunch, and then ask if they'd mind putting the England game on the telly.

I told her no, probably best we just set off early. Women eh !!!
Have a great holiday. They will have the game on most places as they love football, but there may be a lot of Panama fans there.

It’s worth stopping at Luss, a beautiful conservation village on Loch Lomond with early Celtic graves in the church yard and stunning views of Ben Lomond. Nearby go the Lodge on the Loch at the northern entrance to the village for lunch and they should have the game on, or go to the Inn on the Loch a mile or two up the road.
Bring your anti-mosquito sprays and antihistamine cream, they have a bumper crop this year.

You'll be behind the goals at Turf Moor Paul. I'm sure in 9 places out of 10 we'd be fine, trust me to find the wrong one though.

Cheers OC, the spray's packed away already, I know all about the little *******s up there. We'll have some spare time after the game, we'll have a look at Luss.

Spent a couple of hours at Luss yesterday after the game OC. Just managed to find a parking space, nice, warm, sunny, Sunday afternoon, it was thronged. Nice place though, thanks for the tip.

I misread that one sinkov, it conjured up an image of you in a thong and it nearly brought my breakfast back up.

I don't even look in the mirror anymore when I'm fully clothed BT, never mind a thong. FFS.

Glad you enjoyed it, it does get busy on sunny days. If you are wanting a meal on the way back apart from the two I mentioned Duck Bay Marina at the bottom end of Loch Lomond has a great view of the Loch and islands and outside seats for bar snacks.
Cameron House a 5 star place is at the same exit, but the main hotel burned down so I think there’s only the leisure area and bar left open.

Like you I don’t often look in the mirror and now when I do I don’t recognise the old geezer looking back!
