Just reading that myself. Biggest bonus for us is that BF appears to be a family man and doesn’t like to be away from home anymore than needed.

If he did go I would have thought it would be to a PL Midlands team but there aren’t any next season! Well maybe one Championship side playing in the PL for one season before going back home to the Championship.

Would he be prepared to travel up and down the M1 to Watford for PL status for one extra season, maybe, you never know but I suspect not, he will be back in the PL quickly enough with us.

Can't see it myself either but stranger things have happened. £10mill for a 35 year old with dodgy knees and twelve months on his contract sounds like cobblers, but then Watford read from a different transfer script than ourselves.

If they did move for Foster it's worth noting that Watford's training ground (Shenley, St Albans) is only about 40 miles further away from Leamington Spa than our training ground in Walsall.

Math's isn't my strongest point, but one last signing on fee + Foster being two years younger than Heurelho Gomes = possibility, especially if someone comes the other way?

I’d do a swop and take Deeney.

I was told a few days ago by someone claiming to have been told by someone ‘in the know’ (heard that before, lol) that Foster is definitely leaving WBA. I hope it isn’t true, as we need his experience in what could be a rather inexperienced team come season kickoff.

I thought Foster had already pledged himself to Albion even if they went down, as he is happy here and his family is settled with schools etc. I personally think its London Press cobblers.
