    Millers miss out on Longstaff

    https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...gster-14824111

Newcastle United youngster Sean Longstaff looks set for a switch to Portsmouth on a six-month loan deal.
The 20-year-old was wanted by a clutch of Sky Bet Championship club’s this summer and held talks with newly-promoted Rotherham United.

However, a late swoop from Pompey convinced the midfield battler that the South Coast could be the best option for him next season.

Depends what the squad looks like, early August and then what happens in January - same goes for all the other clubs so how people can lay accurate odds right now I don’t know

Kevin Keegan must have told him that Portsmouth was nearer than Rotherham

Portsmouth is the Rum, Bum and Baccy centre of England, so may have some attraction for Jacket and Longstaff.
