I think most of us will agree that music has been on its @rse for some time now but I think todays announcement for the future of "chart music" is the final nail in its coffin.
Music Video views will now count towards the charts.

I havent followed chart music myself for a very very long time, maybe even since the 90's, but surely to f*ck its dead on it @rse and has zero merit for counting towards actual music. This move just seems desperate, although its being described as a move towards the "future".
I had the displeasure of hearing some so called chart music a week or so ago and i honestly thought somebody was having a joke. It may sound like an auld manny speaking about 'youngster music these days', but its ****ing awful. Without even discussing the terrible lyrical content, the background music and melodies alone are uttery tragic. Now music videos are going count towards whether they are popular or not... cue ebony chicks in floss thongs, grinding to some awful rap sh!t just to get views.
