World Cup Prediction League - Round of 16

    Standings after Group Stage:
    1. Wolfiebill - 38
    2. Abbobrom - 30
    2. Wolves71 - 30
    4. MichiganWolf - 29
    5. Plater - 26
    6. Woodlands - 25
    7. Woking - 24

Still plenty of chances in this competition. The knockout stage operates much like our regular prediction league. Pick the score and first scorer of the match for each knockout stage game. Correct result & score equals 3 points. Correct result equals 1 point. Correct first goal scorer equals a “goal differential” point.

NOTE: Predict the score after 90 minutes. Anything after 90 minutes doens’t count (except for goal scorer). But you cannot predict a goal scorer if you also predict a 0-0 draw.

    Here goes:
    France 1-1 Argentina, Messi
    Uruguay 1-1 Portugal, Suarez
    Spain 3-2 Russia, Costa
    Croatia 2-0 Denmark, Mandzukic
    Brazil 2-1 Mexico, Neymar
    Belgium 3-1 Japan, Lukaku
    Sweden 1-1 Switzerland, Shaqiri
    Colombia 1-1 England, Falcao

We had a pretty exciting group stage, with only 1 scoreless draw. I’m hoping we don’t see any in the knockouts, but there are a couple games that look ripe for one, particularly that first day.

Just wanted to remind everyone to get their predictions in, at least before the specific match starts. So today, you’ll need to predict at least France-Argentina, and Uruguay-Portugal

Didn't do very well on today's games, in fact I haven't done very well generally. I must be saving myself for the Prem. Anyway.

    Brazil 1-2 Mexico [please!], Lozana
    Belgium 3-1 Japan, Lukaku
