You do realise either of those sides would have kicked our ar5e, good and proper?

No idea how Argentina stayed in that game until the end, that was a 4-3 battering!

No idea how they finished with 11 on the pitch either.

France looked frighteningly good. Lloris the only possible weakness. Their pace upfront would murder England and Kante will be heard chuckling every time he gives our midfield the slip.

Pity the cameras didn’t show Maradona’s reactions as the French goals went in.

The French were quite dull to watch in the group stage, Argentina would probably make any side look good going forward.

France did look good overall, defence, midfield and attack all good. They might have mbappe but we've got sterling.............ha ha. I do like the new England team though and this tournament is one too soon for me, pity France and Belgium are gonna be good in the future when we are but it's cup football, you never know.

I would swap him for Pickford in a heartbeat. Lloris, not Kante. I would swap any of our team for Kante. Mbappe is better than Kane, while we are at it (and a nightmare to spell). Only Lingard would get into that team, and maybe Kane for Giroud, but Giroud is underrated.

I agree, but it's about building up and getting better as the competition goes on, and France were very good today. England, on the other hand, are flat track bullies.
