As an upgrade on Hayden and Colback, I think he's a decent signing, given that he's free.

But, as a replacement for Merino it's typical Ashley-ok, Merino hasn't worked out but we should spend the money we get for him-plus a lot more on a CM who can go straight in to the first team, not replace him with a free signing.

Exactly what we did with Cabaye and Colback. When Colback arrived I thought the same as I think about Ki-decent squad player but I wondered who we'd buy to properly replace Cabaye.

    Silly me.

Will not be surprised at all when this turns out to be the same.

And his half a million a month pay of course.

This looks like a signing incase Ashley refuses to buy (again) and to cover the loss of merino and Ritchie .
There is no way this guy was on Benitez supposed list.

Expect bids for Kenedy and Loftus Cheek (on loan) and Ndiaye for £8m , and linked with decent strikers .. Which will come to nowt.

Ashley aiming for a 16th place finish again on minimum spend just for tv exposure for Shlt Direct and sky bucks.

    Hope I am wrong .

He has played with shelvey before i think so im sure he would have had something to say

    a good signing
    prem experiance
of what i have seen of him he looks decent
rreplacent in tthe squad for colback

a player rafa can choose on if needed where as he sent colback out on loan
so it does strengthen the squad

i dont think getting players in on frees is that bad
most players will run their contracts down given the chance

unless the club keeps offering them and their agents new contracts

    each time a payrise
each time the agent gets paid

Hes an honourable man, unlike our owner, Ashley should take a leaf out of Rafas book, who am I kidding! I expect that the money from Merino will be spent on a centre forward or go towards Kenedy.

from what we have been led to believe over the past couple of seasons in the media and is plain to see in Rafa's interviews last summer, Rafa was lured here on a very good contract but under false promises as per.
Given assurances about the vision, direction, funds, development (we all know the dance)

A heafty release clause inserted and escape fee plus the fact he is an honerable man and will no doubt be honering his deal but hoping for someone to takover.

This signing excites me as much as the result of the Austrian grand prix.

Swans fans thought he was lazy. Doesn't sound like a Rafa player to me.

Who´s on Rafa´s list or not, we won´t know till rafa writes a book.

I´m sure every manager in the world has Messi, ronaldo and Neymar on their wish list - everyone has to work with the financial restraints. Don´t get me wrong though, I think this is absolutely the right time for Ashley to invest in the squad.

I see some people eating their words on Ki - he´s a decent player.
