    England fans

It says that more England fans are thinking are making the journey to Russia now it seems safe to do so, so

    1. How are they getting tickets?

    2. Assuming the tickets are from a secondary source and that the FIFA are supposedly adhering to the 'no resales' policy, how are they getting a fan ID?

I had been considering going but it seemed a real chore to get tickets, having to apply for a 'fan ID' after purchase and probably having to join the England supporters club as well?

So assuming these tickets are resales and that fan ID is not transferable, will fans gt turned away at the stadium? We've all seen fans wearing the fan ID's around their necks and they are being closely checked, if you cannot prove that you're the original ticket buyer, how are they getting around it to get in to the stadium?

Seriously, I may have gone had this system not been in place.

I was going to start a thread today about the lack of trouble, so far it seems the authorities have done a very good job of keeping this to minimum as unless I've missed something I've certainly not seen anything hooligan/trouble related at all yet.

Maybe the fan ID system is contributing to this, after all it's stopped you going out there

Im glad it is in place... how much trouble has there been? It has also stopped people being ripped off on what are already expensive tickets.
Whether you can get tickets or not, go anyway. My one and only experience (England V Paraguay in Germany) was amazing. Being at the game was great but so was watching games on massive screens with fans from other countries with not a hint of hassle in the fan park (in my case the screens were set up in the middle of a river, and we all watched from the river banks). The party atmosphere is 10x better than going to the local. People party until they drop. I watched our first game of this World Cup in the local boozer, got out nice and early and it was quiet, about 10 mins before the game the boozer filled up very quickly, about 10 minutes after, empty again.

Airborne, I honestly think you will have a great time whether you get to a game or not.

    Fan zone then,

I just can't get my head around how, the secondary ticket sellers are getting around the fan ID system?

... does it strike anyone else at this remarkable episode of non-violence during a football tournament? Only report I'm aware of is some Enhland fans drunk on a train; but no inter-supporter fighting or with locals. I guess Mr Putin has detained all the potential Russian troublemakers ... we are too weak to do that here in case the PC brigade scream unfair.

Ah so you want to live in a society just as repressive as Russia's, Mr Horse? But you always carp on about the evils of communism. Seems it doesn't do such a bad job at controlling violence and hooliganism then, eh?

... you see , el cid, this is why you will only ever be Snobhead 2. Your simple misinterpretation assumes I have contradicted myself. Communism is a failed form of socialism - you can't trust the bureaucrats... just like the failing EU. Authoritarian dictators can do what they want; hence peace and love in Russia for the next couple of weeks. But we are too weak in applying our own rule of law. Maybe the days of the PC brigade are numbered; the pendulum will swing back as we no longer put up with their bull..it. Taking control of our own laws will once again make this a better place to live.

What does being a snobhead mean, you half-baked individual?
Mr Putin has sanctioned the army to kill all stray dogs in the cities being used for the World Cup. Nice man, eh? All within the law, of course. We don't yet know what he's done to recalcitrants and may never. But as long as everywhere's quiet and the streets are tidy... is that your vision of a decent society? Would you like us to have a dictator too?

... you still don't get it do you. Perhaps you're not as bright as you think you are.
Snobhead 1 will help you out.

Communism, you say Black Horse, is a failed form of socialism - which it most avowedly is not.

Socialism is an economic system while communism is both an economic and political system. ... Socialists can own personal properties while communists can not. Socialism allows capitalism to exist in its midst while communism seeks to get rid of capitalism.

Your main arguing ploy seems to be constant attempts to belittle my intelligence and nothing more.
What have I misinterpreted? You clearly wish that hooliganism and violence on our streets could be quelled instantly by a police force that was directly answerable to the powers that be.
Nowhere in Putin's Russia is there room for an incorruptible justice system.
Is it your wish that the UK adopts the methods of 'modern day' Russia?
