Don't think it was Owen Bell as he's already signed.

Just spoke to his old Abbey Vale manager (and ex - Queens goalie) Speedy Clark who confirmed

Fair enough although he wasn't listed on the team sheet.

It is reassuring to see that Queens are at least assessing trialists in the areas which need strengthening and hopefully some of these will be of the standard required.

its starting to look like its going to be a difficult season ahead ,we dont seem to be in the ball park for the quality signings needed to mount a challenge ,we seem to be looking at unproven youngsters ,and probably going to be dependent on some good loanees .

So that rules you out from us signing Mbappe as he is only 19 lol. I don't mind us signing young guys as long as we have some experience round about them. An experienced centre back to go along with the young defensive guys that played on Saturday would be good.

lol i think your missing the point a wee bit mbappe is proven at a very high level ,and had the benafits utilising top coaches ,im all for signing young players as long as thay are good enough ,the guys queens are looking at might well be the next big things ,but what we need is more quality players to play along with them that are good enough to mount a serious challenge in this league ,which i can only see coming by getting loanees atm as most the quality needed are already snapped up .

We'll never start a season signing players to mount a title challenge in this division, never! Ambitions go from survival to at best a top 4.

We look to be following yet again the same vain as the last few years - starting the season hoping to get buy with a wafer thin squad then no doubt at Christmas panic and sign half a dozen + players of which most will only play a handful of times from the bench!

Certainly nothing doing at present to tempt any new or floating fans into purchasing a season ticket!
