    Our Relegation Season

Just looking at what our strongest 11 was in that season, no way should we have gotten relegated (I think injuries killed us, or bad management)

    DC LUCAS RADEBE
    DC DOM MATTEO
    MR JERMAINE PENNANT
    ML JASON WILCOX
    MC DAVID BATTY
    MC EIRIK BAKKE
    ST MARK VIDUKA
    ST ALAN SMITH

SUBS - SCOTT CARSON, FRAZER RICHARDSON, MATT KILGALLON, STEPHEN MCPHAIL, AARON LENNON, JAMES MILNER, MICHAEL BRIDGES

Then you've got Richardson, Kilgallon, Mcphail who were all championship players at best. Lennon and Milner who were 16 and too young and Bridges who was trying to play with one leg.

It is not surprise we went down. Team wasn't good enough and club was in jeopardy then we added **** like Olembe, Sakho, Roque Junior etc. We were doomed to relegation as soon as Bowyer and Woodgate had their day in court.

".................Bowyer and Woodgate had their day in court."

And O'Leary published that stupid book, destroyed our team spirit, affected results, missed out on CL, the rest is history.....

(or maybe the FA Cup defeat at Cardiff as well???)

There were many things that sent us down but Bowyer and Woodgate incident for me is the one I always look back on as the defining crap moment that ultimately led us down the road to relegation
