All the money in we should be able to buy.If he comes next year on a buy option the fat slug will have pocketed another year of money before spending. He will have another pay out from the tv deal and if we stay up money from final position which will cover it.
So why can't we buy him now?

The word will be "Option" to buy not "obligation "and if Rafa goes so will Kenedy , as no way will Ashley stump up £15-20million if Benitez is gone.
Saving the money to buy Townsend £22m being touted .plus wages .. Be close to £40m to bring that kernt back.

I agree. This idea of loan for a year then signing next year sounds odd. Why wait, we've seen what he can do, just sign the fkr now - unless you already know Rafas going at the end of the season and you have the ready made excuse not to sign him.

I smell the niggardly suet aisle blocker all over this. Same with the idea of selling Ritchie for Townsend - take with one hand and give with the other. Whats the point like?

We complain because our owner is a fool which affects our transfer dealings. Very sensible to me.

I see no problem in a loan for Kenedy, IF it means other targets are bought.

Kenedy has been quoted as 30m.. not sure how true this is but if it is true then there's no way in hell we would pay that under the fat man

Latest is £20m but Chelsea insisting on a buy back clause... so not much profit for fatboy if he turns out to be a world beater.

Think we need to get this deal done, whatever the means. He proved himself already so the loan does seem strange but if the option to buy is there then no big deal. I'd rather he was allowed to play against Chelsea though.
