    What is you source?
We could do with a forward before the season begins as well but getting Armstrong and Chapman through the door would be great.
I don't want to be 'that guy' but I won't say. As in the past it's generally been quite a good one. And don't want to ruin any future bits and bats. It's normally pretty accurate. I was told of Bell before it was announced.

    Fair enough champs
At least we come back with a decent offer not like Sheffield United did with lenihan
    £250,000 to £300,000 was a complete joke

Yes, that was insulting. Great news that we've got him on a 4 year deal. We are doing good business keeping the core of our squad. Bit by bit, we will add to it. I think we have quite a few offers out there now. But I do know that it's Armstrongs agent that is stalling to see if anyone else comes in for him. As he is very keen on the move, and we want him, we aren't messing about with a silly low offer. We just want it done.

Are there no players with enough gumption to say to their agents, "THIS is what I am going to do!"?

He desperately wants to return, we want him. Newcastle have agree do on let him go.
We have offered the full valuation (we feel is relevant) as we really want him.
His agent is waiting to see if he gets a better offer. So at this point we are waiting on him.

Rovers are also going back in with a £1m bid for the centre half at Charlton. We had an offer of £500k turned down. Their new owner wants £2m. But he's in the last year of his contract, so £2m isn't happening. We are trying to bring both in before the Hibs game.

Negotiations are ongoing for Chapman. It's believed we want him on a season long loan. Boro want a fee for him.
I honestly still can't understand why we need an extra centre-half. I'd have said it's our best-covered position already! Am I missing something? Lenihan, Mulgrew, Downing, Wharton, Platt, Magloire, Charley Doyle, Grayson - with Williams and Nyambe also both competent in the middle. Is another one really necessary?
I assume it means we are likely to be going for three at the back, but wouldn't one of them be Williams, given that we'll probably see Bell as left wing-back?
It's at the other end of the park I feel we're short.
