The corrupt EU will not agree to a deal unless the continental establishment get real and recognise it's all about the money and not their socialist control policy. 3. We should withdraw the 40bn offer and go for WTO rules (average overall cost +/- 4% not the stupid figures Project Fear would have us believe) and negotiate our own deals without interference from Merkel & Co.

Totally agree....May has to go, weak and incompetent....pathetic woman.....then we tell the EU to "do one" unless we get a seriously decent trade deal.

We have had our pants down for the last 2 years whilst we have sat around with the EU's dick up our arse....I'm sick of it.

Couldn't care less if Labour or Cons run the country.....we need a leader with a bit of backbone to get us out of this fiasco.....May ain't it, and with hindsight probably never was.

May should step aside and let Boris and the other Brexit ultras take over and go for their new deal plan. Either it’ll work, there will be no economic or travel issues, people won’t lose jobs and all is well, or it doesn’t work and people of my generation and those a bit younger vote us back in with much more integration than we had before. I don’t see any other way forward.

I voted remain (was about 60 - 40 in favour, based on not wanting to jeopardise jobs / the economy). However, now we've voted to get out, I just want out. To be honest, I'm not sure I'm even bothered what 'kind' of Brexit it is.

The one thing that I find incredible is the time it has taken to get to the meeting last Friday.

Vote taken - June 2016
Meeting held - July 2018, with what seemed a 'we must reach an agreement today'
This means .......
Time for negotiation with EU - 8 months
Out of EU? - March 2019

My own time line would have been:

Vote taken - June 2016
Meetings begin - September 2016
Meetings every other Friday until agreement reached - latest absolute target date - March 2017
Time for negotiation with the EU - 2 years
Out of the EU - March 2019

Again, totally agree.....it has taken us 2 years since we voted "OUT".......but still nobody has actually figured out....HOW TO GET US OUT....it is a joke.....these people, 1000's of politicians and civil servants, are supposed to be smart and intelligent....this is ridiculous.....the EU are trying to scare the rest of Europe into staying, whilst we appear to be scared of leaving, and now we have senior ministers resigning because we appear to be trying to stay in...one foot in, one foot out appears to be our new position.

you seem to have forgotten the Tories Cunning Plans !!
1) Never, No matter the circumstances or the question, Never, Never answer the question What is Brexit....( only answer a question with a question and thout shall be Brexit Means Brexit !!!)
2) If or When anyone askes you what you would like to see from this Brexit process, what your demands or expectations would possibly be, say nothing at all ,other that that its a secret, if we tell you then we cannot use it as a bargaining tool !!.
3) work to the Ethos the longer it takes to discuss any of the above,the stronger we will be in negotiations and the EU cannot refuse us anything .........!
so far so good, we only have to hold out for Eight months and the EU will collapse and coming begging us to leave but have free trade ,stop all free movement and anything else in between.

Jacob, can you tell me what your specific reasons are for favouring Remaining in the EU rather than Leaving?

All things being equal, WTO would give us a tariff* surplus, as we import more than we export. Problem is things aren't equal.






* Obviously things would go up in the shops, unless of course there's some clever redistribution of said tariff's to negate their impact
