Wow ok... no here's the experienced head we need in midfield, ex international with lots of premier league experience, ok he's 35 but still has lots to offer, brilliant signing

The team now has a beautifully " balanced" look to it

Good signing if he avoids injury. I think he only made 97 starts for the scum in five seasons there, not sure how much of that was down to injury or not being selected. He does seem to fill the gap alongside Hewitt in centre midfield.

Fabulous signing.wow most anticipated start to a season in years? Tricky wingers, exciting goal scoring forwards, stable tight defence and lots of choice in midfield with talent on the bench and hungry youngsters to boot. Well done notts well done Mr hardy big well done kev

Could be another case of managing his game time as with Shola. Probably not a bad problem to have seeing as we've got two promising young centre mids who'll need minutes.

With his quality and experience, he don't need to run about a lot. Just break up play and spread the ball about.

For the "scum" it was down to injury.

Way to good for the basement football, but is close to having to pack it in.
I wish him well. On his day a quality act but when you're on first names terms with QMC staff. Then you have problems.

(I told you I'd heard this, but you thought you'd take the piss)

Who was that aimed at? I don't think I've done any piss taking about Vaughan.

Quality signing if he stays fit. Total waste of presumably high wages if/when he gets injured by a standard L2 juggernaut defender.
Wont play every game i shouldnt think.
Must be favorites for promotion now though.

Hardly any comment on Mr Vaughan's advanced years yet Jon Stead (who is two months younger) can hardly escape frequent references to his age.

Strikers have a far shorter shelf life than midfielders. Masson played for us in the top flight at the same age.
