A great player who gave his all for Spurs.. One of my favourite players of the times..Always reminded me of Andy Lochead for the Clarets..Tough as old nails and never gave quarter and knew where the net was..

Cheers for posting that Alf, just got back from Leicestershire and didn't know.Gilly was part of the Spurs team when I started following them in the sixties and what a star he was.Scored plenty of goals but was probably more well known for his headed flick ons. RIP Gilly and thanks for the memories.

used to collect the old football cards with bubble gum back in the day and can clearly remember having kept or swapped Alan Gilzean in the playgroundgreat days!!!
