The annual where are we going to finish prediction thread.

    No, not Swindon.

Now it looks like the squad is almost complete what's everyone's thoughts?

I'm going for a strong start and a 3rd place finish.

Other teams in and around the top 4 I'll go for MK Dons, Swindon, Bury and Oldham.

Make that 12th. 4-4-2 with Stead is not going to get us promoted.

Stead is the only recognised forward to have fully participated in pre-season. Dennis and to a lesser degree Hemmings are not quite ‘match fit’. I think once all are up and running, Stead will be on the bench.

I'm optimistic we can go one better than last season, so 4th.

It'll be a walkover, you see.

Careful, we don't want too many people thinking it'll be a walkover do we? Look what happened last time (England vs Sweden).

Feels very positive right now, so you've got to be hopeful of automatic with MK Dons, Swindon and Oldham being the three most likely to push us all the way.

Going by Notts history alone, seasons following a play-off defeat have been either problematic (flirting with relegation before recovering to 9th under BarnwellWarnock in 1988/89) or an unmitigated disaster (worst results ever and 24th place in 1996/97).

Depends on how well Nolan keeps his head when things get tough and the pressures on. I don't think he handled it particularly well at times last season but if he's learned from that then we'll make the top 3.
