    Defo top heavy

With the completion of the Jozefzoon signing we now have, for the 1-4-3-3 system FL seems to be playing, a combined total of NINE**** players for the front 6 roles.

Surely we will be seeing half a dozen out the door very soon......... he said more in hope than with any sense of conviction.

We've also had 3 bids turned down from Peterborough for Jack Marriott

Yes they want £6 million that's a fair price for a prolific goal scorer who is only 23 and extremely quick Need to get him quick before he's off to Brizzle

Brizzle can have Martin, Blackman, Nugent, Jerome and a few more from us instead for the 6 million which could finance Marriott and save us a load of cash in wages

I can't see us forking out £6million on Marriott, especially as he's not yet proven in the Championship!"
I'd like to see him here though! I wonder what kind of bids we've put in?

That would make it TWENTY for 6 places. Our third bid, yes, 3rd bid, of, allegedly, £3M for Posh striker Marriott. Turned down.

It is said Posh want twice that.

Madness it is, pure madness..... and I should know

Just wondering if everything is ‘on hold’ because of the Vydra situation. Is it not possible that a deal has actually been done for Vydra - probably with either Leeds or WBA - but is subject to a medical which, because of his recent groin operation, he is still unable to complete?
Possibly what we can spend on Marriott is dependent on what we get for Vydra and that deal definitely being completed...that’s my theory anyway, but if Marriott, as League 1 golden boot winner, is worth £6m then it can’t be unreasonable to expect £11-12m for the Championship’s golden boot winner.

If Vydra moves on, I thank him for last season and wish him well. Unless he goes to Leeds in which case I wish him a drastic loss of form

RA Think you are right about the situation it's certainly a problem The club have stated Vydra will not be playing any football before the season starts So he may have to stay till Jan Also find it hard to believe Martin will be in any hurry to get fit considering the contract he's on It doesn't mean Marriott is worth £6 million it's just what his chairman thinks he's after a bidding war see Leeds are in for him now Think we would be silly to miss out on this one Hope I'm wrong but we may be in a scenario where Vydra not fit and no replacement either
