Wouldn't it be good for the game if

the P.F.A. with the co-operation of the F.A. and F.I.F.A. set up as agents for their members with a set scale of fees, charges and expenses.

I'm sure it would keep more money in the game, be better over the long term for the players and would stop all of this underhand wheeling and dealing.

Then I wonder why it isn't promoted and pushed more.

If the P.F.A got enough players involved with good deals it would gradually squeeze those blood sucking self serving agents out.

Back to thread, didn't Keegan 1st time as manager insist that the younger players had a pfa representative rather than an agent.

Really when you think of it if all of the F.A.'s throughout the world got together or even just the biggest ones they could easily do this and outlaw or even make outside agents come within their structure.

They are within their structure, because they are provided licences by the relevant FA's or FIFA.

Well in that case they could be made to operate within strict rule/guidelines breaches of which ought to be followed by a life time ban.

So no bungs , no overcharging and no double dealing.

Agent power just seems to have got to much.

Sadly i don't see it going anywhere. Even if new rules were brought in, ways around would be found.
