    It doesn't matter who we look at.
    Even if we spent £10 million on a striker someone would complain.

    Why not, they both offer pace and are prolific goal scorers. With them both picking up their pensions now wages should not be too bad either.

    I think Wilder will be loathe to spend £5m+ on Marriott after passing up the chance to get him for 400k last summer.

    But... the overall package might be cheaper than any deal for Gallagher. And he's actually proved he can score prolifically.

    5 mill for marriott, hes had one decent season in league 1, just cant be worth that.

    Can't disagree with this but it affects everyone, not just us, and we have to ask if we can afford to be principled. No point making a stand if it means we can't bring anyone in, because no one is going to applaud our standing up to the agents - they'll just nick our targets and watch as we get relegated.
