Yesterday’s fly past by the RAF over London looked spectacular, what a shame, though, that it was over London. All such events are always over London which in my opinion, is quite an insult to other parts of the country. Part of the reason could be that these events must pander to the so-called ‘royals’, who can’t be arsed to shift their backsides away from the London palaces.

Living and being brought up in a town which was only 22 miles from the German guns and planes throughout the war, I can only agree with you. At least we will get a flypast by the Red Arrows and a parade of Spitfires during August which we can view from the cliffs.
