Fck 'em. They bring these things on themselves.
What if it happens again when we play them in the away game?
Hooligan element or not, it’s the tail wagging the dog with SYP
Not necessary

It seems the first train into Rotherham for the Millwall fans is 33 minutes before kick off, so fans not happy.
It seems some on about coming up the night before, so could be problems in town, unless they drop off some where else, then come into Rotherham.
But not all Millwall fans are nutters. Certainly the ones we met in the pub before the last game were OK. It's the minority (again) that get them a bad name...unfortunately they have a larger "minority" than most clubs!
There'll be real fans coming up on the day, some the night before...there'll undoubtedly be a few boneheads as well, but it's highly unlikely there'll be a repeat of the scenes last time they came up to our place. Moving the game to 12.30pm on a Sunday will do what it's intended to do....stop any trouble. And on what is likely to be a hot August weekend, on balance, it has to be a good move by SYP.
Great idea, the police are finally thinking about it.
Yes it will put some fans off, but probably the bulk of those will be the genuine fans not the hooligan element.
The comment above about the first train arriving about half an hour before the game starts. I assume that wont be a direct train but a change at Sheffield or Donny, so potential trouble there. as it's sunday that's the day the railway tends to have more engineering works, so there are more timetable delays and more bus replacement services for cancelled trains.
What would happen if the trains are late and there's a mob of Millwall fans outside the ground as the match kicks off? Would the ref delay the kick off "for safety purposes". What sort of mood would the Milllwall fans be in if they actually arrive late and miss some of the match? Would the trouble makers actually bother going in and just cause trouble outside the ground and in the town centre?
It stiil smacks of an overtime generating decision to me.
When they play Leeds away they make fans wait at Wooley Edge Services and they are handed their ticket there by the Police.
I presume if they don’t travel on official coaches they don’t get in. No train travel, minibuses or cars
Too many obstacles for the F-Troop
cant see there being much trouble in town if they come up the day before, no one goes out in town anymore to make trouble with.
