    Thinking about the overtime rates.

There will still be as much trouble as playing on the original day.

One the day take a look at the badges on the police uniforms. They get volunteers from far and wide to catch the extra money.

I dont think as many will travel up on a Sunday Grist.

Looking at their website they had quite a few games re-arranged because of the "minority" of their fans behaviour

Yes it will put some fans off, but probably the bulk of those will be the genuine fans not the hooligan element.

The comment above about the first train arriving about half an hour before the game starts. I assume that wont be a direct train but a change at Sheffield or Donny, so potential trouble there. as it's sunday that's the day the railway tends to have more engineering works, so there are more timetable delays and more bus replacement services for cancelled trains.

What would happen if the trains are late and there's a mob of Millwall fans outside the ground as the match kicks off? Would the ref delay the kick off "for safety purposes". What sort of mood would the Milllwall fans be in if they actually arrive late and miss some of the match? Would the trouble makers actually bother going in and just cause trouble outside the ground and in the town centre?

It stiil smacks of an overtime generating decision to me.

When they play Leeds away they make fans wait at Wooley Edge Services and they are handed their ticket there by the Police.
I presume if they don’t travel on official coaches they don’t get in. No train travel, minibuses or cars

Too many obstacles for the F-Troop
