Southgate, Sterling and young

First post on this site, but what the hell is Southgate doing? Far too negative and he has been since taking over as England manager. He is only in the role as he is a yes man. Far too negative in subsituations and is totally out his depth at international level management.
Sterling is not even a Sunday pub team player. he is a total a waste of oxygen and the same goes for Young.
We do have a a good young squad that will do well in future years, but first we need a manger that can see which players will be good enough to play in these positions and not go by price tag alone.
At the end of the day, it has been a good world cup, but with the right manger and better squad, England could have won this.
Just so annoyed that negative subs were used to not lose the game instead of going for the win.
England could have been World Champions on Sunday but now it is hopefully not France that wins.
Still, role on August and Notts to win promotion as Champions.

Many countries could have won this with a better squad! Didn't take long for Southgate to go from hero to antichrist. Very harsh to stick the boot into the manager...we just fell a bit short but regained some pride

We always fall short! Winning mentality isn't in our DNA! Even the fat lad who finished last at sports day gets more applause than the winner, I like Southgate but tonight he was too negative, seemed more worried about not losing than actually winning the game

Personally, I think we have done extremely well to reach the semis and only lose by the odd goal....the draw helped us plus the fact that most of the favourites got knocked out.

Well done England....a shame that you didn't push for the 2nd goal.....but hey-ho, life goes on.....looking forward to seeing Notts demolish division 4 this year....COYP

Hello Gumpy and Ancientpie. It's Mark from the kop. Just posting to say I think Sterling's getting far too much stick on here. He does so much running off the ball and is a constant threat. When he went off coincided with Croatia getting on top. This is just my opinion but I think that what players do off the ball is more important than what they do on it. I'd rather have a player that misses 5 chances than one who only get's one, even if he buries it.

Rubbish. We were never going to win it anyway. France would have rolled us over easily. Truth is we're just not good enough to go all the way. If we were ever going to do it, this was the year, but still we fell short. Croatia were far the better team, so good luck to them.

Now I can't wait for 4th August! COYP
