    Certainly hope Clucas is NOT the "record breaker"....that would be more than the £15 million for Wood.

    The figure I read was £12 million - that's at least £2 million too much.

    Also, in the same article, it said Dawson is asking for £75,000 a week. If that is true, why did we bother bidding for him in the first place? Complete waste of time since the original bid of £25m for JR and CD. We could have signed a couple of central defenders by now and allowed Mee to leave.

    What's stopping us sealing the James Collins deal? Perfectly adequate as 3rd choice ahead of Kevin Long.

    Clucas would IMHO be a really great addition to the squad. We need to replace Scotty Arfield and I think this lad fits the bill perfectly.

    What's £12 million to us these days?

    Dawson - priced out.
    JayRod - we will pay it!
    Clucas - almost done!
    Mawson - good shout and a better buy than Dawson IMHO.

    I would like us to be going after Rob Holding at Arsenal if Dawson is off the horizon, not going to get into the Arsenal side and will probably not break the bank. Who mentioned Mawson, Shhhh or others will be hiking the price up.
