    Even if it's Rafa's fault (and it isn't, at least not solely), then I get where he's coming from. Diamé was looking really solid once Merino returned, and Merino didn't look particularly good at that stage. A manager's job is to play the best players at his disposal. At that point, Shelvey and Diamé were the best CM's, even with a fit Merino.

    Honestly, if Merino didn't have the guts to fight it out and prove himself, then it's only for the best that he's gone. I wish him all the best though, still think he's a very good player.

    Good point Hughie, if a player's heart is elsewhere it's no good for him or the team.
