It's a shame the way things worked out for all concerned, but football is a rough business with little loyalty when the going gets tough.

Moving forward, I don't think the new owners will have a significant amount of money to invest in the club and they will have little experience of running a football club - but lets hope they have a plan of action to get United back on track and competing in the Premier league.
Dad put a hell of an amount of money into the club and still the debt to the bank increased. ST did what he did, and yes reduced the debt, moved it into safer hands, but questions have to be asked.

Those questions tie into why we have had to sell all the assets to keep going which might turn into a thankless task for the "new" regime! On the face of it, there has been some good work gone on to create the foundations, they just have to start today to show they have the product on the park!

Without going over old ground re ST etc the fundamental difference is that the new group of people in control at Tannadice have got vast experience of HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS.
In addition to his other shortcomings ST did not have this. Experience at higher levels of business gives you an understanding of good PR, good HR practices, man management, teambuilding and leadership techniques, none of which it appears ST had.
I don't think that we should expect quick miracles from the new board, but I'm convinced we now have people in charge who want to be in charge for the right reasons, who know how to get results and will move the club forwards now.

My thoughts and many others talking to today. They invested a significant amount of money. ST was and is a United fan. He made mistakes. Lets move on and hope the new board can lead us forward. Less toxic talk today than for a long time. a 2-1 defeat will change that mind

And we seem to have signed Adam Barton from Emerdale which is interesting.
